Nicholas County took a shattering loss last week at Bracken County that ended their hopes for an undefeated season. Can they bounce back strong from that game and get back on track with a big win over Bath County?

I subscribe to the school that there is rarely a good loss, and IMO the loss to Bracken probably did some psyche damage. However, still getting the #1 seed keeps them at home for at least round #2, which will be very tough whether it is Raceland or a rematch against Bishop Brossart. If I was Nicholas, I would not want to see the Mustangs again.

 

Think this win against Bath is very timely and will be a much needed psychological victory.

The teams are dead even. Both played the same vs Bracken on their field. Turnovers cost them both a win. NC got a close win at home vs West Carter in the lightning delay. Bath Co dropped a close game to West Carter in Olive Hill by giving up 2 big plays that made the difference.

 

NC is older and more experienced. Bath County has more team speed. It's Bath Co's Senior night and the weather forecast couldn't get any better. The 2 teams really don't like each other much. I expect both to played "inspired" but I have to give the home team the nod in a close game.
