Peter Wolfe, who I assume is someone other than the former lead singer of the J. Giles Band, does a computer rating of all college football teams. When I say all - I mean all (FBS, FCS, D-II, D-III, and NAIA). Who knows how accurate it is, but it is fun to look at. Here are some local (I use the term loosely) and others of note:

1. Alabama (if they didn't get another team correct - looks like they at lease nailed this one)

12. Louisville

13. Troy (Neal Brown head coach and only jumped out at me because of how high they were).

62. Kentucky

70. Western Kentucky

80. Cincinnati

128. Notre Dame (jumped out at me because of how low they were)

221. Eastern Kentucky

259. Morehead

260. Murray

330. Kentucky State

355 Lindsey Wilson

399. Thomas More

402. Georgetown

410. Kentucky Wesleyan

424. Centre

543. Pikeville

551. Mt. St. Joes

564. Cumberland (KY)

644. Campbellsville

667. Kentucky Christian

There are 698 teams college teams being ranked by Mr. Wolfe - Lights Out, Dance Dance Dance.

2016 College Football

172) Dayton

---

183) Miami (OH)

...ouch, bros.

I'm curious about his system. I love seeing the things some computer rankings favor that others may not or things they discount that others find important.

Given their proud tradition #183 is really bad for Miami.

Where would one expect a solid non-scholarship program like Dayton to be rated? If this rating were accurate, they would be ahead of EKU, which seems a little hard to believe.

I agree. Zero percent chance the Flyers could beat the Colonels.

Even the best UD squads I've seen have a really tough time keeping up with even the most mediocre full scholarship teams.

No, I mean you could have listed them in the original post to save me from looking it up. Ha.
