Southwestern 20 GRC 13

GRC's Jones was giving us fits out of the RB position early in the game.. Then they switched him to wide-out and slot positions and he wasn't a threat the rest of the game.. I'm glad they, did but could not understand the move by the coaches.. Could have been an injury situation..

I Think Jones was moved to try to throw the ball. Southwestern made 2 defensive adjustments after the first drive that stopped the dive by the FB and the Clark Coaching staff tried other ways to get Jones the ball. The TE middle screen in the 3rd quarter was a great call. We read the screen but still could not tackle Jones. They are a fine team and they might even beat MC if they get that passing game going. Also The QB running around from the shotgun is tough to defend also. How many times did he get loose in the second half on scrambles and bootlegs ?

I think this was a good test for Clark Co, we need to make adjustments early in the game, I would run # 33 and # 42 more then 7or 8 carries because one of them will pop it open for 6 like Greene, did. Then go with your play action, hit Clark, or Rogers for 6, or # 15 Conners , on a quick flair pass. This team is like a new sports car to the GRC, coaches it's a car with speed, power, and quickness, once they get the gears down, I look for GRC, to bust it wide open.

GRC will be off this week. Also Robell Rogers has hurt his shoulder and not sure when he will return to action. May miss the next 2 games against Garrard Co and Montgomery Co.

Robell hope you get well soon...:thumb:

I was told after the Garrard Co, game they were going to take a look at it and see if he can play. Robell,:fight: you are a true warrior, get the assistance you need, so you can get ready for dist. Give me a call when you get a chance.

 Oh my God! What is PC going to do without his star player? Lord knows #8 Rogers is his only weapon. :sssh:
