Rockcastle (7-1) will play host to Knox Central (4-3-1) in a game that will either solidify Rock as Region 6 district champs and lock up the 1 seed and home field advantage or with a loss Knox Central can force a 3 way tie that could force the final week of play to decide the district seedings Does Rock win and take home the district title or will Knox Central win and spoil senior night at the Rock?

My honest assessment of this game is that it should be a good defensive battle that will be won or lost up front in the trenches. If rock is able to grind and wear Knox down like we have everyone we have played then we should win the game. Both teams will be physical both like to run the ball and both have proven they can stop their opponents from being able to run on them. The key to this game to me is Rock qb play should Have the edge as he can run or throw and typically has 100 yards + both ways per game. If chayse is able to run and throw then that will allow for Holdan to be able to run as he matches up well being a big and physical running back. With this being played at Rock I take the home team and think Rock seals up the district getting the W Friday night!

Go Rock!!

Knox Central has a great run defense and has had Rock's number for nearly a decade. Until Rock can beat Knox, I will always pick Knox even though I am a Rocket fan.

However, I think it is a tall order for anyone to predict Knox Central to win District. They would have to go on the road and beat Rock and then turn around the next week and beat Corbin. I think only a handful of teams across the state could pull that off and Knox Central is not one of them.

Therefore, I honestly believe that Rock loses this game but still wins district and home field advantage through much of the playoffs.

Knox has a new running back from Bourbon County and people I have talked to think he could be the difference in the game. He looked good in first game against Rock at Danville when he played for Bourbon.

How many times has a player faced the same team twice while attending two different schools? We will never know but that is very interesting.
