It started off great and with a bang, then went south in a hurry.

USF D Exposed!!

The defense could not stop Cook, or anybody else for that matter. Right side CB Deatrick Nicholes kept biting on that inside fake then getting caught in the block. It left Cook open all day on the outside. Both of his long runs came off that fake. The tackling was atrocious. Auggie Sanchez and Devin Abraham were the only two who seemed to be playing defense with any effectiveness. When a safety is leading you in tackles, you are having problems.

Quinton Flowers was 5/14 for 160 yards, a TD, and 2 interceptions. The INT thrown into double coverage, the play after Sanchez had recovered a FSU fumble on the opening drive of the second half, was a real killer. USF would have been back in the game and who knows how "Mo" would have treated that.

Dalvin Cook had 264 yards on 28 carries with 2 TDs. Deondre Francois was 11/19 passing for 169 yards and 1 TD.

While FSU tallied 647 yards of total offense, they gave up 450 yards on only 55 plays. Again, the QB was the most effective runner against them, as Flowers led USF in rushing with 159 yards.

We were listening to Coach Taggart's post game show as we left the stadium. He basically said, "When you play sloppy ball against good teams, that is the result you get. We played sloppy ball. We had an opportunity to do something special and we blew it."

Bulls Nation will see what character their team has Saturday night, when they come up there to take on UC. The Bearcats want revenge for the beat down in Ray Jay last season. Something tells me CTT and his staff will be watching a lot of tape today. That is another thread, though.
