Metcalfe looks pretty solid this year, but this was a really big step up in class for the Hornets. Franklin-Simpson has a really good team.

Highlight of the night:

FS place kicker was named Homecoming Queen. Ms Maddie Alexander runs cross country, plays soccer, softball, football and is a straight A student.

She choose to carry her helmet under her arm in lieu of roses as she crossed the field.

Metcalfe was better than last year. The QB had some good throws whenever he had time to throw it, which wasn't often. They racked up some yardage but the FS defense held them from scoring. Metcalfe's TD came on a fumble recovery in the end zone. The Hornets may shock some people in their district, they won't be a pushover against 2A teams. On to Greenwood for a HUGE test.
