Defending 1A champ Pikeville steps all the way up to a 5A level opponent when they play Letcher County Central in the Pike County Bowl Saturday 8/27. If we look to last year, Pikeville should have no trouble despite playing a team 4 classes higher than them. But that was last year and things change every year in high school football. Is Pikeville again far too much for 5A Letcher County Central? Or can Letcher County Central close the gap and even give Pikeville a scare in this one?

I'm saying Pikeville wins this one. LCC struggled to put away a pesky Pike County Central team. I understand that things do change year in and year out in High School but I don't think it's changed quite enough for LCC to win.
