South Oldham opened the season with an impressive win over Anderson County, winning 31-14 even though QB Drew Zaubi had a lackluster game. Doss however seems to be an up and comer this season, beating Jeffersontown 40-0 in their home opener. This one is a huge test for both teams, the only thing for certain in this one is that the Dragons will win!

South played a balanced game on offense last week. Zaubi opened going 4-5 in the first two series leading to a rushing TD and a passing TD. Then the heavy rains came and they went to the ground game where Freshman Keaton Martin took over for an injured FB and proceeded to lead the team in rushing with 154 yards and a TD! Great job. Brandon Elsbury and Paydon George each contributed a rushing TD also. Very balanced attack. Zaubi threw a pick as the result of the same play being called twice in a row and the AC cornerback made the play - good on him! Also had a dropped pass and a receiver miss a route. Not sure I would call that a lackluster performance but to each his own opinion. Believe the Dragons offense has shown the ability to run or pass -- whatever the defense wants to give them. Great job South and good luck vs a very good Doss team.

Doss is trying to get over the hump and win an important game this week. South Oldham is very disciplined and well coached and will do things right. In order for Doss to win Friday night, they will have to be just as disciplined as South. This will be a great game and an important one for both teams early in this season.
