Cooper at Notre Dame Predictions (8/18 at 7pm)

The biggest regular-season match in Region 9 this year just happens to be the first match of the year for these 2 teams. Re-match of 2015 Region 9 Championship. Notre Dame is, well, Notre Dame. Most agree Cooper is the main challenger to ND this season. A win by Cooper would give them the confidence that they could take the Region, but I also think a Cooper loss will deflate what is likely their most talented team ever. I predict ND wins, but doesn't sweep. Coaching advantage to ND as well.

Very competitive match. In my opinion, it started to turn at the end of game 2. Cooper had a comfortable lead (maybe 21-15) and NDA went to the bench and found a spark or two. They lost 25-23 but played much cleaner in game 3 and 4 with their bench stepping up. Game 5 was back and forth with NDA pulling away at the end.

 

Both teams had their chances and it will be interesting to see how both teams grow in the next 2 months.

Jr ds Olivia Montelisciani came off the bench and chased down some balls to keep the Pandas in it.
