Have You Seen Any Good Local or Lesser Known Bands or Artists Lately?

2 things:

 

1) Daniel Martin Moore's show at Z-Bar was solid. Definitely enjoyed it.

 

2) Mavis Guitar released their first track on their Bandcamp page to preview and download, along with a pre-order of their digital album. Really pretty.

Thanks for the head's up on Mavis Guitar. I'm looking forward to hearing more of this release, and I'll be keeping my eyes open for a local show date.

Very cool that you went to see DMM, and that you dug the show. His voice sounds so effortless, calm, and soothing, and he never fails to put me in a relaxed hypnotic state.

He's a special performer and I'm happy for his success, and though he's obviously humble about it, I just wish that he could gain more exposure.

No matter what, I've no doubt that he will consistently continue to write and record because it's what he obviously was born to do.

He's quietly developing a strong root of followers, but I'd like to see one of his heart melting tunes show up in a movie or something that would make more people stand up and take notice.
