The contract that gave him the no trade clause so I don't blame him.

 

Yes he did have a no trade clause but this was a trade To go to a contender. Plus he kept the Brewers from getting 4 prospects.

His numbers could be even better as a DH and 1B and he would get paid even more.

He's not getting paid much right now as a catcher.
