rgoodman2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Hi. I've often wonder why there isn't a tourney matching up Indiana's and Kentucky's team together. I would think that would work in both states. In Indiana, we have so many great programs right now that could play with most other states programs. I would have the tourney at Columbus North High School in Columbus, Indiana. Have it a Friday/Saturday all day. Have 20 programs (10 from Indiana/10 from Kentucky). Columbus North, Penn, Greenfield Central, Laf Central Catholic, Jeffersonville, Oak Hill and others play the Bluegrass State's top girls programs. It would work. Lots of pride and talent could be seen. The more high school basketball the better. What do you think? In Kentucky, name your top 10 from the last 3-4 years. The more exciting the better the games will be. Thanks. Roy Goodman:wave:
maysvilleky Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 Mason County girls will be at New Castle, IN on January 7th to play in the IN/KY Challenge Cup. I think this event has multiple Indiana and Kentucky boys and girls teams.
CWH Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 I think Indiana teams are only allowed one game outside of the state. Limits them on holiday tournys
cols Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Henderson plays Mater Day and Castle, Ind both ranked in top ten each year in their class and Mater day won a few championships a few years ago.
NEERFAN Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I think Indiana teams are only allowed one game outside of the state. Limits them on holiday tournys I believe you are correct.
hittheboards19 Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 I think Indiana teams are only allowed one game outside of the state. Limits them on holiday tournys Not sure I'm reading this correctly. Limited only for out-of-state travel, or limited also by how many out-of-state teams they can play at a site in Indiana? Kentucky-Indiana would make for some good games. Two seasons ago (2014-15) Covington Holy Cross traveled to Indianapolis to play in the four-team Roncalli Lady Rebel Holiday Tournament, where they met Lawrence North (which made it to the semifinals of Indiana 4A later that year) and Oregon Davis (also later made to the state semifinals, but in Indiana 1A). Holy Cross was 1-1 despite playing without its leading scorer and despite losing its point guard to a turned ankle in the 3rd quarter of the first game.
CWH Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Can only play in one day events outside the state of Indiana, not sure about in the state.
