I helped a friend move a piano once. Never again, I don't care how good of a friend it is, I would rather pay out of my own pocket to have it moved for said friend.

Disclaimer its not one of those big baby grand things. Its like the size of an at home organ, but its heavy with steps coming out. Once its out of the neighbors its just getting it into by basement from the outside.

Wife bought one years ago from a family member...I moved that thing twice...NEVER AGAIN!!! The last time it literally took me over a week to get over moving it.
