If Paintsville's going to break through and get to BG, several young players will have to step up and fill some huge voids. As great as he is, Kent Phelps can't do it all by himself. QB is a huge question mark. Kash may have been a better LB than QB, but he did account for 37 TDs on offense. Aside from Kash, the O-line has to be replaced and Luke Trimble's big play ability on both sides of the ball will be missed.

 

Darren Morris could be the guy to fill Trimble's shoes. Morris was the team's leading receiver last year.

 

What's the status of Tyrese Allen? If he's officially a Tiger, he'll be a force.

 

Right now, on paper, it's a toss-up between Paintsville and Raceland for the district. They'll likely see each other twice again this season.

Paintsville may be pretty good in 2016 but probably not as good as 2015. I will not sell them short right now. Paintsville will have to win in Racelans to remain district champs. Neither team needs to overlook Nicholas come playoff time...
