Congrats to Billy Hurley for winning his first PGA event this past week at Congressional. Tiger Woods (tourney host) gave him a sponsor's exemption...my guess because of Hurley's military background...he spent 5 years in the Navy. Tiger's event always honors the military. Hurley was ranked around 600 in the world before the tourney. Now he gets to play the WGC events, the majors and is exempt for the next two years for all PGA events. Plus he won over $1MM too...a true life changing event for him. He seems like a good guy who has been through a lot...his father killed himself less than a year ago. He is married and has two biological kids with his wife along with an adopted little boy from Ethiopia (I think he is from Ethiopia anyway - definitely a foreign country). Good to see a great thing happening to a good dude!

That was fun to watch.
