Bowl games experiences over the years.

Featured Replies

I have only been to four of the bowl games around the state and I have had a great time at each but wanted to say how disappointed I was in the Ray Charger Classic. The disappointed came in the way things seemed to be ran. At all of the bowl games I had been to up to this point they all had nice size crowds, nice previews cover the bowl games and other great info. The R.C.C. had no previews at all and when I asked about this nobody seem to know why. The people working the event I tried to talk to was very uninformed and seemed very cold almost as if you were bothering them when asking any question to them.

The Pike County Bowl is ran very well and it is made up to be a very large event in the county.

I took in the old champions bowl and it was set up very well as was the Cumberland Valley bowl.

^ You need to get to the Bob Allen Classic in Danville. Every thing you mentioned will not happen there. The press this thing gets it great. The way it runs is great and even the match ups are very competive. Last nights games the winning teams won by 2 and 3 respectfully.

I am going to look at the match ups in the 2007 Pike County Bowl and that will lead to the bowl events I take in next season. I try to get at least four games in on this weekend. The Pike County Bowl makes this very easy and on top of that I love the area. Not going this season was wierd in some way not only for myself but my son, who always goes with me on opening weekend.

From a players perspective, i played in the Bob Allen, The City/County Bowl, and a one-game bowl @Mason Co., all three were fun, but nobody treated us better, than Bell Co., they have excellent facilities and they treat the kids playing like a million bucks.

The Rafferty' Bowl in Bowling Green is well organized and fan friendly as is the Ray Corral Bowl in Somerset....

I agree 100%. That was my first time at the Rafferty Bowl and came away impressed. Good seats all around, nice promotion of the event and some good people running it. I encourage anyone who has not gone to that to try and go sometime.:ylsuper: :ylsuper:
