MrsC and I decided to take in CMA Fest full force. Four days of music on 11 stages.

Hotter than heck, but what a blast. A little over 250 performances.

Wife and I have wanted to go down for it for a few years now. We'll make it there eventually!

Wow! What an experience.

I'm glad to see Halfway To Hazard back in the game.

The amazing part is how much of it is basically free. We saw 54 performances, and 26 of them were either free to the public or included in a 4 day $25 Fanfare pass.

The last 7 acts each day are at Nissan Stadium. For that you have to purchase a 4 day CMA Fest ticket. We had great level 1 seats. They weren't cheap,($250 each) but considering the fact that you get to see 28 top artists, I don't think that's over the top.

They did a heck of a job.

We missed it because we were at the stadium, but some friends of ours were at Ernest Tubbs.

For those of you that haven't been there. There is a alley that runs behind the bars on Broadway that is used for deliveries, so a bunch of the bars have back doors you can get in and out.

Anyway, they were sitting at E.T.'s having a beer. Everybody starts going nuts. They look up and Kenny Chesney is standing on the stage. He came in the back door, and sang 3 songs with the band.

Pretty cool.

Oh, geez. Now you've done it.
