Basketball season for 2016/2017 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Beth Haven? Remember, please be constructive.

Beth Haven had a very good year last year, going 18-10. It loses its leading scorer Duncan Barber (13.4 ppg), but returns the next 4 top scorers, including Austin Strebel (12.2) and Cody Mikel (10.9). Mikel gives the Bearcats some size. Beth Haven should have another good year, particularly against the smaller schools on its schedule. I suspect they will be looking to move forward a bit and get some wins against some of the bigger schools on their schedule, which will be a challenge. I wish them well.

I read that Coach Stinnett resigned this week. Anyone with any insight on why?

“I really enjoyed my three years at Beth Haven, but feel I have too much going on at the present time in order to do the job the way it needs to be done,” Stinnett wrote in an email to The Courier-Journal.

That's crazy...why would you quit after practice had already started??
