May 14, 201610 yr Crazy story about Matt Bush. Some will remember him as the #1 pick out as a shortstop in 2004. Immediately had alcohol issues become apparent. Released by Padres eventually without ever seeing MLB. Rays picked him up but then he ran over a motorcycle driver and went to prison for a few years. Got early release into a half-way house and got a job as a baker at at restaurant. Was not allowed to leave the premises of his employer other than to go home. Started throwing in the restaurant parking lot with a former coach who realized the guy's arm was in phenomenal shape. Had a MLB trying IN THE PARKING LOT and got signed by the Rangers as pitcher. Made his MLB this week at the age of 30. Matt Bush: Former top pick make MLB debut 12 years later
