Going into this season, I don't think anyone had EVER hit one out at St. Henry. Fences are deep. This season alone, three have been hit out. One by Stewart, Kirwin and now Graybill. You don't hit one out there with a pop fly. Sounds like I missed a good game.

Graybill's would of Cleared a 300 foot fence easy. Like I said, it's the longest Women's HR that I have witnessed in person. It was a no doubter as soon as it left the Bat.

It was a great shot! The one Gabby Stewart hit out earlier this year, was a very similar shot to the same spot. The fence at that point is about 235ft and it is fairly uniform.

 

Your statement however, that this was the longest Women's HR you've ever witnessed in person (and probably many at the game might agree with you), adds credence to the point I was trying to make last year, that it's quite hard to hit home runs in fields like Saint Henry or Villa. http://bluegrasspreps.com/ky-softball-high/nky-sluggers-304863.html

 

There have been some pretty good power hitters at SH in the past few years (like Mamee Salzer, Noel Butts, Sami Ives, Teresa Urban, Jordan Kramer, and Gabby Stewart), who's power numbers have been hurt by the deep fences of the fields they play on. As even Lawnboy and others have commented on, Gabby Stewart has hit several this year that would have been out on any other field. I believe it's likely she would be leading the area in home runs and her slugging percentage would be even more impressive, if she played on reasonable fields. Out of 16 games played this year, only 6 haven't been on either Saint Henry or Villa.

So all of St Henry's games, except for 6, have been at either Home or Villa ? 16 total games sound low... ?

Sorry, at the time I counted, two games weren't updated in GameChanger. It's actually 18 total, but only 6 not at SH or Villa. Yes it's been a bad weather season for SH. And looking at the schedule, there are only 7 more regular season games with only 3 more not at SH or Villa.
