9th Region Predictions

Featured Replies

Beechwood wins All A to make them a little stronger contender for my vote. 25-6 record before a final 6 game swing through the Boone Co. gauntlet with a Campbell Co. game mixed in the middle. Pending weather, they cannot exceed 36 games, so two may have to be cancelled.

Beechies on a roll, but tons of baseball against quality teams left before Districts.

I've seen Beechwood play five times this year and they have impressed me. Not a bad loss at all and were able to avenge the early season loss to Anderson. No shame in losing to the likes of South Oldham, Madison Central and Greenup County. I'm looking forward to May 17th when they travel to Ryle.

Looks like Beechies manufactured several runs in late innings against Owensboro Catholic and Hazard to nail down All A State Championship yesterday. This demonstration of small ball when needed elevates BW to solidly get my 9th Region favorite vote. They have Great D, good power, solid hitting 1 thru 9, deep pitching, speed on the bases, and baseball smarts. Going to take all of these weapons to get out of the 9th.

Didn't know a baseball team was made up of only 2 people. Should be pretty easy to stop the other 7 players on Beechwood. Ryle wins the 9th. Ryle has too much offensive power and an amazing pitching staff. Ryle (having not lost to a team in the 9th) is more than capable of winning due to the depth 1-21. Beechwood chokes in the region and Ryle takes it home.

Can't wait to see Ryle show people that they deserve to win the 9th.

If you read all the responses here, many have highlighted Ryle as the favorite. A few have jumped on the back of Beechwood (who is a darn good team themselves) but many more have said they think Ryle wins the 9th. So don't play the victim card. Ryle has proven themselves so far and quite possibly will again the week of Memorial Day
