May 9, 201610 yr Arlovski came out and put together a nice attack in the opening moments of round 1 but that was about it from him. Nice kick to the jaw by Overeem. His kicks to Arlovski's body had good effect and seemed like Arlovski was trying to defend against those kicks as the second round began. Unfortunately for him, he didn't see that up-kick coming and it landed square on the chin. Down went the big Belarusian. This was a nice matchup in that it pitted two tall strikers against each other. Neither had to concentrate much on grappling in training camp. Overeem just doesn't look as muscular as he did before he came to the UFC. He was a bit softer in this fight than I remember him. I noticed he was breathing from the mouth midway through the first round. I suppose neither fighter expected it to last the the full time. Either can hurt you with his strikes. I figured 'Reem would be the victor.
