The 9th ranked Cats lost the Friday game 3-0.

 

Saturday, they had #4 Vandy down 2-1 going into the bottom of the eighth. Strecker came for Beggs to start the bottom of the 8th and pitched 1/3, giving up 2 runs. UK could not make that up in the ninth, losing 3-2.

 

Sunday, Cody, Lewis, and Huelle combined for 5 hit shutout of the Commodores, 3-0.

 

UK is now 23-12, 9-6 in the SEC. They play in Louisville tomorrow evening at 6.

Not a bad loss for UK Baseball, only the first series loss of the year. Vandy IMO has a shot at the title this year...Cats played them tough all weekend.
