April 25, 201610 yr Show me any player then or now who can stop the skyhook. What I can't figure out is why nobody teaches it to young post players nowadays. There's never been a more automatic 2 points. I think he perfected it because of the "Alcindor Rule" that prevented college players from dunking from 67-76. It forced post players in college to develop touch around the basket. Now with the advances in training and supplements, which in turn are seeing bigger, more explosive athletes as a whole, dunking is a huge part of the game. You have Post guys that just dunk their way through high school, college, and the NBA and have good careers with no skill set as long as they rebound and block shots (Dwight Howard, DeAndre Jordan come to mind). The game is missing this and wanted, but to the kids almost not needed because they're gonna be taken off of size and athleticism anyway.
