Former Ryle head coach Kyle Hockman now coaches at McEachern High in Georgia.

 

His son is a QB who committed to Coach Richt and UGA. After Richt left he opened it back up and just committed to Florida State.

Couldn't agree more! A lot NKY talent gets overlooked, further illustrating my opinion of "where you play" has just a little something to do with being recruited. Congrats to the young man.

Well at least some of us understand the process. Backup Ohio State Buckeye QB Stephen Collier would have been a another Ryle student-athlete as well but also moved to GA and got plenty of offers before choosing OSU. It's a reality IMO.

Probably not a great example. Stephen had no BCS offers until Ohio State jumped in late with a great offer for him. I think he got on their radar by going to the Elite 11 competition.

That is not accurate at all. Stephen had offers from Boston College, UC, So. Miss, Marshall, Lafayette and several others before Ohio State which was the LAST team to offer after he accepted. It doesn't matter frankly as the gist of my point was how NKY kids are overlooked.
