J.T. Perez was the winning pitcher for the Bearcats. He went 6 innings giving up 7 hits and allowing only one earned run. He struck out 9 and walked nobody. Jarod Yoakam relieved in the 7th and allowed a run on 2 hits, he struck out 1.

 

Youkam made it interesting in the 9th. After getting the lead-off to ground out, he gave up a single, then hit 2 consecutive batters to load the bases. The Bulls were able to get one in on a 5-3 fielders choice, but Kevin Merrell grounded out 1-3 to end the game.

 

Brandon Lawson went 8 innings in the loss, giving up 1 earned run (in the 5th), on 8 hits. He stuck out 4, walked 2, and committed a throwing error that helped lead to 2 unearned runs in the 4th.

 

Rubber game tomorrow at noon.
