Scott Gural is new coach at Bowling Green

Featured Replies

Scott Gural has been named the new head coach at Bowling Green High School. Coached the rival Greenwood Gators for years including a state title runner up finish. Resigned in 2014 to "spend more time with family". Guess family time is over. Lots of Greenwood faithful incredibly upset.

He was on the Sporting Times Radio Show yesterday, and mentioned that he had always thought he would return to coaching in a few years time, potentially when his child entered kindergarten. But both he and his wife agreed that an opportunity like Bowling Green was not likely to be open at that point in time.

Congratulations to Scott! He will do a great job! Coach Widener built an incredible program! Look forward to continuing our relationship with BG

Good Luck Coach Gural! Wish you guys continued success!

Scott Gural will open a new play for BGHS. Him & Widener play 2 different styles. It'll be interesting to see how the purples unfold this year. Although losing most of their starting 11, the few starters that are returning should lead the team.
