Top scoring teams?

Featured Replies

Who in your opinion is the top offensive teams in the states boys history?

Louisville Eastern in 1996-97 was a powerful offensive team.

In the late 80's maybe early 90's somewhere around 1989, 1990 the Warren Central teams could put up points in a hurry with Cedric Gumm and Rico Banks leading the way. They averaged over 80 a night.

How about south hopkins they averaged 83, 89, 85, between 1993-96 and only lost 17 games in that period.

Scott County teams from 98-00 used to crush some teams. Having back to back Mr. Basketballs in Rick Jones and Scott Hundley helped their cause.

Those Elliot County teams of the 07-09 time frame could put up big points.

The 1970 Johnson Central team coached by Paul Williams averaged 90.1 ppg with no 3 point line. They featured Howard Wallen and Mike Castle. Scored 134 in a regional tournament game that season and broke 100 points 15 times.

The same team averaged 83.2 in 1969. The first year for JC!

Funny thing is south hopkins teams that scored so much, coach is from johnson central. Name is dan evans.

I imagine Central put up some points when they had Ron King, Otto Petty, et al. Same with Shawnee when they won the state in, I think, '73.
