The only reason they should play less than 7 innings is the run rule or run out of day light. Don't ever remember a girls high school JV basketball game that they only play 3 quarters !!!

 

No you haven't....but a Varsity game is 32 minutes and a JV game is 24 minutes ..and that's like, well, an 8 minute quarter difference, so yeah, pretty much the same..it's just the way it's set up. The pay for each level is different as well...again, just the benevolence of good umpire(s), but I know you already knew that....:banana:

Last year when Highlands was at Dixie the ump stopped the game after 5 innings saying KHSAA insurance didn't cover more innings than that.
