Joey Yancey starts for Holy Cross and picks up the win. Varney the starter for Holmes. The Indians use a 12-run 2nd inning to put this one away early.

Lot of pregame festivities including honoring the people from City of Covington who were instrumental in helping with the renovation of the new Meinken All-Star Field. Even Mr. Redlegs made an appearance for the game. A great crowd was on hand for the opener for both teams.

Wow a drubbing by the Indians.

With all criticism aside, is this Holy Cross team this good, or is this Holmes team this down?

With all criticism aside,

Who was criticized?

My mistake. I was criticizing the score or the lack there of to score or hold said team to less that 20 runs. Expected to see the Indians on top, but 20 runs is a bit exponential. Apologies for confusion.
