This is a nice write up from the Enquirer regarding Kentucky Youth Soccer and their Olympic Developmental Program. The article details an upcoming trip to Holland and speaks specifically about some high school boys from the NKY area.

KYSA to send players to Holland for training

Great opportunity for the boys. Good luck to them!

That is terrific, YC! Really happy for all the boys. I can't imagine the excitement they must be feeling. All that hard work is being rewarded and the experience they gain should be valuable to their continued growth as a player.

.........and Holland has awesome bier to help carbo load for games and training.

They will be in the Netherlands less than a week after the passing Johan Cruyff - legendary player with Holland, Ajax and Barca; an innovator whose imprint at Barca as a manager is still evident. As a frame of reference, I'd recommend the boys do a little background research on Cruyff. At a minimum, Google "Cruyff Quotes" to appreciate his incisive intellect and understanding of the game. Enjoy the trip and take a moment while there to pay homage to Cryuff.

Unfortunately, the timing of the trip, comes with an increased level of concern because of the terrible attack in Brussels earlier this week. Although they are still quite excited for this opportunity, their perspective is a little different than it was a week ago.

While in Holland, they will also be taking in a few professional matches. I am hoping they will have the opportunity to be in attendance when some of the Holland clubs pay tribute to Cruyff in the coming week(s).

Thanks OG, I would appreciate you keeping them in your thoughts while they are abroad.

I am hoping that is all they get while in Amsterdam...

Sounds like a great opportunity, our thoughts and prayers will be with them, their coaches, and support staff. Be safe and enjoy.

Will do, YC.

Either the pep talk, or the bier, at half worked well.

The boys got down 2-0 but came roaring back with 4 goals in the second half to beat the Feyenoord Academy 4-2 today.

With 2 of those goals coming from Cooper's Adam Snow. Congrats!
