Highlands 3 Conner 2 (8 inning scrimmage)

Featured Replies

Not too much hitting going on today at HP. Pitchers are way a head of the hitters which is to be expected so early in the season. Raisor was up to 89mph on the gun and Doty hit 86 a few times..

How wet was the field or did they play on the football field?

The field looked pretty good HP drains well..

Unconfirmed but heard Raisor was sitting 86-87 hit 89, Doty sitting 85-86 hit 87. First pitcher from Conner had what looked like a wicked slider that froze a bunch of hitters. Walkenhorst from HHS drilled a couple of line drives and was probably 2/3. Kid has been working in the off season. Starting to look like old Glenn Braggs and will probably start breaking bats on his back soon. Great kid. Kreeger hit and a couple of Conner hitters had some pop as well. Most hitters were late but there were a few that made late work for them. Good to be outside for both teams, I'm sure.:ylsuper:

First pitcher for Conner was junior Nick Craddock. He has really slimmed down and gotten into shape this past winter. I believe he went 8-0 his freshman year, struggled a bit at times last year, but his renewed focus should bode well for the Cougars this season.
