Hollingsworth named MVP.

Lafayette appears to be playing much better than the team that lost 3 or so straight and by some pretty large margins, just a month ago! Dunbar should be the favorite to come out of the 11th. Was this one as close as the final score suggest?

Yes, this game was close throughout. Jordan Lewis got his 2nd foul early in the 2nd quarter and had to go to the bench. Lafayette stretched the lead out to 8 late in the 2nd quarter but Dunbar made a run to end the half tied. Lafayette led by 2 after 3 quarters. Darius Williams struggled most of the night but hit a huge 3 to tie the game at 40 midway through the 4th and with the game tied at 42 with around 3:00 to go Taveion Hollingsworth nails a big 3 and Dunbar never trailed again. Great game by Hollingsworth. Also, Dontell Brown with 7 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 blocks, but most importantly held Ross Jenkins to just 6 points. Chris Wharton played really well for Lafayette and really helped them control the game for 3 quarters. Both teams look dangerous for the regional tournament. Should be a fun week at EKU.

Yep! Dunbar was down 8 in this game at one point. Their defense and big time plays in the 4th quarter is what won this game for Dunbar. Lafayette had them on the ropes but went to the stall tactic early and a couple of personnel changes at crucial moments possibly hurt the Generals. They were clicking and playing with confidence but was slowed down by their own coach. The Wharton kid for Lafayette has a bright future. His little brother William is going to good too!

Dunbar is a very very good team. Lafayette is and did play better. Dunbar vs Lafayette game last night was championship basketball! Wow that came was nip tuck in the second half. The 4th qtr was the decision e qtr. Lafayette for the most of the 1st half

kept a good lead. That 3rd and 4th qtr was great basketball I'm telling you. Brown for Dunbar played really well yesterday on Ross Jenkins. Good game plan for Harrison Lane.as well. Jaelim Jenkins and Chris Wharton brought a lot of energy from the backcourt. This was one of the top 5ganes of the year. Good job Dunbar on their championship. The Regionals will be a good one! The 11th Region man the basketball we have seen this week was great!
