I am talking about "winning" time...I am not givng you a play by play for the entire game. At winning time, she had a chance to tie the score. She missed 2 FTs. She shoots 55% from the line, so missing 2 wasn't a surprise. I am not commenting on anything except the fact that when HC was down 3 in OT, Beal shot an airball on a 3. When Holmes rebounded it, the ball game was basically over.

 

And they, as a team whine alot to officials. But in this generation, kids know alot more than the officials. I suggest that they just close their mouth and play. Stop complaining on every call.

 

And, I didn't call out any specific whiny HC player. But, if you are a fan, or have watched them play, you know who I am most likely talking about.

And I know you can't give a play by play cause that would require YOU TO acknowledge those same players for their fight in the comeback...And AGAIN, HC had possession after those shots..You clearly were not watching the game just trying to find something negative to say about the players at HC...are you BIG MAD or little mad that your team has to face Homes in the opening round of districts!!!??Right..Btw, these are kids you're bashing!!! What's wrong with you!?? Coming on here with nothing but negative to say about some high school girls?? That says a lot about your character.... In the meantime, Show me ONE player that doesn't make a mistake......and I'll show you a player that's not getting better!!

The region has favorites (Holmes, Ryle) ......but that large floor with scorer-table lights flashing off the floor and scoreboard lights flashing off the floor and a Viking ship (or crazed three eyed lady) painted on the floor and no shooting background and multiple 3 point lines and lines under the basket and strange refs.......all make it anything but a sure thing.

I am not sure why officials allow the players to whine and demonstratively display frustration with calls.

 

Same happens on the boys side as well & I wonder the same thing

in last night's game, McClendin missed 2 big FTs in 2OT that would have tied the game. But, she goes 0 - 2, Holmes is fouled, and makes it a 3pt game with 1 min left. Beal launches an airball, Holmes scores again, and the game was basically over.

Can you read? No one was bashing high school girls for their play. I stated facts - no opinion, just facts: she missed 2 FTs. She is a 55% FT shooter. She shot an airball on 3pt attempt.

 

I didn't say anything about their play that got them down 15+, and I didn't say anything about their comeback. In case you missed it, they lost in the 2OT. That is what my post was concerning.

 

I have no team in this fight. I couldn't care less who Holmes plays in the district. They should win the Regional.

As a Holmes fan going into this game I knew it wasn't going to be an easy win! These two teams are rivals for a reason, they always bring their best game against each other!

 

Holmes played a great first half and got cold in the second half

Holy cross was cold in the first half and started to heat up in the second.

 

Both teams are good teams! No point in arguing about it.
