February 10, 201610 yr They've tweeted that they will start releasing hints about acts in the lineup next Monday. I don't know about other folks, but I enjoy the hint-dropping routine that several music festivals have taken to in recent years. Pretty interested to see the lineup for this year as well. After PromoWest bought the festival, they put together a hell of a lineup for last year. They seem to be doing a good job of playing nice with the Forecastle/AC Entertainment folks as well. I couldn't make it last year because of other obligations, but I'm definitely going to give it some serious consideration after they release the lineup.
February 17, 201610 yr Author The first Bunbury lineup "Hivehint" came out yesterday...but apparently it had already been spoiled when the California indie pop band The Neighbourhood sent out a newsletter indicating that they would be playing the festival. Although Bunbury is not currently listed on their tour schedule, they do have blank spots on June 4th and 5th while in the midst of the midwest leg of their 2016 summer tour, with local show dates in Indianapolis, Columbus and Cleveland.
February 17, 201610 yr Author ^ I would have to assume that the picture of Hot Rod would be a pretty clear allusion to J. Roddy Walston & The Business taking a spot in the lineup.
February 19, 201610 yr Author ^ The Wombats (Wombats have square poo.) They're a British dance-pop group, and their summer tour dates would seem to line up for Bunbury.
February 19, 201610 yr Author That 4th hint was for Umphrey's McGee. They're a progressive jam-band, and I'm admittedly not a fan. Can't tell you much about them except that their pothead fans like to throw up two-handed horns en masse all over the place at their concerts, whenever they run into fellow Umphrey's McGee fans, or whenever they try to overtake the stereo and convince everyone at a party that Umphrey's McGee is actually an awesome band.

They're not really my cup of tea, but I can stomach their stuff more so than some other jam bands.
