University Heights 89 Dawson Springs 55 (2nd Region Class "A")

Tray Hollowell had 31 points and sat out the 4th. He had 25 at halftime. Keke Tandy had 22 points.

Who won the Tri-county tournament?

I've never paid attention but do you hang banners for being region runner-up in the All-A? If that's the norm, do you hang the banner if you're Dawson Springs even though your tournament record was 0-1? Low blow I know but it really did cross my mind. Regardless of what the reasoning was the 2nd Region All-A and the Tri-County Tournament are both a joke now.

Great question but say in 25 years will anybody know that they received a bye to the finals?

I agree WKY. I think it was silly for three schools to drop out. I remember a few years back when Lyon County, Webster County, Caldwell County and UHA all played in it and it was competitive and was really a big deal for those smaller schools. I hope UHA can make a nice run in the All A though. Good luck Blazers.

And Sweet 16 you're also right. A few years down the road somebody will see that banner and think of it as a big accomplishment. I could see why they'd want to hang it.

Silly, crazy, stupid, whatever you want to call it. Just dumb not to play.

What I have found funny with this situation is that the boys teams that dropped out still have their girls in the tournament. I believe Livingston Central's girls won the Region.
