January 29, 201610 yr Author Exactly! You start down the 150/30 path with the goal being the 150/100 path. This is all about the Bengals and the NFL. Right. Let's say ticket base price is $80. Fans would understand paying $150 for a Sunday night game with the Steelers. But that $80 ticket better be $30 for a game against a 3-13 Rams team from the previous season. That is dynamic pricing. It helps Bengals sell out the 65,000 stadium for both games at an average price of $80 a ticket. Without that you draw 65,000 for the Steelers and 50,000 for the Rams. So Bengals like it and fans that want to see the Steelers understand the $150 and fans that want the NFL game experience are happy to spend $30 for the Rams. What bad dynamic pricing does with an $80 ticket is charge $200 for the Steelers and sell that game out at 65,000 fans ...............and then charge $75 for the Rams and only 45,000 show up. But Bengals and NFL do not care because they are making more money. Fans are getting the short end of the stick.
