January 14, 201610 yr Author There is an urban legend about that recording...can anyone tell me what it is? The woman screeming sound is supposed to have been an recording of a woman being attacked outside the studio while they recorded the song.
January 14, 201610 yr The woman screeming sound is supposed to have been an recording of a woman being attacked outside the studio while they recorded the song. Close. Legend was it was the scream of a woman being murdered (stabbed) in the studio while they were recording the song. The band themselves later denied this and admitted it was one of the band members making the scream, but they let it ride for a long time thinking it would help sell more records.
