After watching a good amount of basketball over the past few months, years, days. I have seen some good ball being played by a lot of teams.

1. E-town is a very good team. Understatement. They will be hard to beat. I only question their depth at scoring. Without looking at riherds, where will scoring come from without Boley, Stinson and the other guard? Again, very good team.

2. Butler, Penn is freaking athletic! They have bigs that can change/block shots, good ball handling from the starting guard and Penn. Then I have noticed a drop off. Noticed at the Lexington Catholic tournament that they got tired quickly. Apparently that was a larger court in the main gym. Have to keep an eye on it in the LIT. If Penn's shot is falling, they can beat anyone in the state.

3. Bowing Green is a very fundamentally sound team that will get up and down the court. They have a forward that has a nice mid-range game. Several pull ups. Nice and smooth. OT is an undersized big but could cause some match-up problems for typical bigs. But she can defend the post just so long as she continues to work hard and does not get into foul trouble. They will keep fresh legs in the game and you just have to keep up...

4. Manual has a one two punch that is deadly. McCune and Johnson. Johnson will get her shot off. Very difficult to stop that. McCune will clean up anything around the glass, several times and plays physical. Curry is an excellent defender who can score and shows great leadership with younger players. They have bigs that will come off the bench and maintain the defensive pressure as McCune just not as much go to scoring. They have a lot of ball handlers that can handle pressure. Would be interesting to see if Johnson is not hitting and if someone can guard McCune one on one, where scoring would come from. Seems as if Curry role has changed on the team. Wonder what she is averaging?

5. Male Big, Big, Big. Those aside, when Kidja (sorry for misspelling) can get to the basket the way she does and Sexton is allowed to step into her jump shot. Don't see anyone beating them in the half court. They defend the basket well and can run the court. They have a good bench too.

Gonna stop at the top 5. Might do the rest later.

Mason has #12 Simon Kenton and #20 Highlands this week.
