During the game, they said the refs were verifying out of bounds, not if he was forced or not.

 

IMO there was no reason to review if he was out or not. That was obvious to everyone.

 

I think the fact that they reviewed it, muddied the situation. It made a whole lot of people think they were looking to see if he was forced.

 

I think they reviewed whether he reestablished himself back into the field of play after being forced out. Only thing I can think of.
