Caldwell's defense has been pretty solid against the run this year.

 

Mayfield hurt them throwing the ball in the second half of that game. Tilghman had some success throwing it before their starting quarterback was hurt. Outside of those two games and maybe Christian County, Caldwell has gotten a pretty good rush on the QB and hasn't given teams a lot of time to throw the football this year.

 

Caldwell has actually been pretty good up front on both sides of the ball this year and is a little quicker overall than the last few years. The Tigers are young in some spots, but those kids have pretty much played a full season by this point.

 

From what I've watched of Adair, I think they can hit some big plays and put some points on the board. Not sure I see enough speed on defense to consistently stop Caldwell's offense. Teams that stop System offenses typically have good overall speed on defense and tackle well in space. I'm not sure Adair has seen a spread offense like Caldwell this year, so it will be interesting to see their game plan defensively.

 

I'm going to say Caldwell pulls away late 50-24.

Adair has had a great season, but they have not faced anyone with close to the firepower of Caldwell. The only true test they had was against Etown and that did not turn out too well for them.
