Sacred Heart leads Bethlehem 4-0

SHA's Amber Sisler strikes for three goals, including the first of the game in the 24th minute. The 1-0 lead held through halftime, then the Valkyries broke it open three minutes into the second half on Catherine Fell's shot. Sisler got the other two within 3 minutes of Fell's goal.

 

Bethlehem's surprising season comes to an end at 17-8-1. The Banshees won their first-ever region tournament, and with a strong group of freshmen coming in next year, could be a big threat to get back.

I definitely think they're a threat. They finally broke the Hardin-Meade stranglehold on the region.

 

E'town and Central Hardin both lose their top offensive pieces, while North Hardin and John Hardin struggled on offense against solid teams and had no go-to offensive force (like Richie for TN or Abigail for Bethlehem).

 

Some people told me Abigail of Bethlehem might be the best player in the region as a freshman. Not sure I disagree. That girl can play for anyone.

I've been told there's a real good group of 8th-graders coming in next year. Could be the start of something big.
