October 31, 201510 yr I came across this documentary about legendary Funk band Lakeside. Greatest funk band ever IMO. Unsung Full Episode: Lakeside | TV One Also from Dayton is Ohio Players , Roger w/Zapp, and Heatwave. Heatwave isn't pure funk but has some funk influence. Is there a city that boasts more funk? If you add in Cincinnati with Bootsy Collins you can claim that SW Ohio is THE home of funk.
