October 25, 201510 yr Most of Kentucky should get a break from the rain on Monday. Those along the Tennessee boarder have only a slight chance on seeing some showers. It is on Tuesday when the rain should return. Parts of Kentucky look to get between .50-1" of rain. Most of the heavy rain for Tuesday looks to be west of I-75. WKY could see from between and 1.5-2" of precipitation from Tuesday to Wednesday. The rain coverage will expand to cover almost all of Kentucky on Wednesday. Wednesday evening most of Kentucky from about the Land Between the Lakes area eastward to around I-75 could see strong to severe thunderstorms. As of now total precipitation amounts from Monday through Thursday look to be from 1-2" for Kentucky from around I-75 eastward. The heaviest rain fall should be in WKY which could receive around a total of 3". 3 day total rainfall amounts through Thursday Possible strong to severe storms on Wednesday evening The red area with the diagonal lines is where the strong to severe storms could occur.

I'm pressed for time right now so this will be quick. There is now a marginal risk area for parts of extreme NE Kentucky. Towns that may see strong to severe storms in the area are Maysville, Vanceburg and Ashland. I will post an update later this evening.
October 27, 201510 yr Author While the severe threat has diminished as of this morning, the heavy rain area has increased somewhat. Through Friday most of Kentucky west of I-75 could receive 1.5-2" of rain. The largest rain fall totals look to be centered between Owensboro and Louisville. That area could see as much as 2.75". Parts of NKY could also receive upwards to 2". It looks like the Maysville area is looking at between 1-1.5". Most of EKY could get around an 1". Extreme SEKY between .25-.50" of rain. October 27, 201510 yr Author Tonight parts of Kentucky could be having possible thunderstorms after midnight. The chance is 40%. This area is in west central Kentucky ringed by the following cities. Louisville, Owensboro, Paducah, Murray, and Bowling Green. Most of the rest of Kentucky is looking at around a 10% chance of possible thunderstorms after midnight.
October 27, 201510 yr Driving this morning sucked. Driving home tonight sucked even more, as the winds had picked up and water was standing on the road. Driving in the morning will sick x 3 due to even higher winds and more rain. Ugh! But at least it's not snow and/or ice!
