DISTRICT BUSTER GAME:

Russellville 1A (7-1) at Crittenden County 1A (6-2). Well this is the game everyone from Crittenden County has had circled on their calendar since they got the nod to move to 1A. Russellville appears to be the superior team on paper. But this will be Senior Night in Marion. I have seen many upsets by emotion alone. Both teams are 2-0 in the District. Who wins this one?

Crittenden County is a paper tiger. They have played two teams with winning records and got thumped in both. The six teams they have beaten have nine wins total.

 

Russellville by 20 +

Russellville has beaten one decent team (Butler Co) then got thumped by a good team (Murray). This game will be closer than some think. I wouldn't be surprised if Crittenden pulls off the upset!

Crittenden Co is a tough place to play if you are not ready for bad calls and fans right on top of the field, plus there is no easy way to get there from Russellville. I still think the tigers have too much for the Rockets though. Crittenden keeps it close for a half before Russellville pulls away 36-13.

as already said Russellville has only played TWO teams with winning records also and got thumped in one ... Rockets got thumped by Caldwell and the Union game was a 7 pt game into the 4th quarter so if you just look as scores then dont really know much about a team... combined records of opponents Russellville 18-48 (two winning record teams Butler 6-2 and Murray 5-3, Rockets opponents 22-44 (two winning record teams Caldwell 8-1 and Union 5-3)... So we will see friday night in Marion... settle it on the field
