Fairview surprised a few people with a solid win over Lexington Christian. Fairview is the favorite this week but Dawson Bryant might be good enough to spring a surprise if Fairview isn't on their game. Does anyone have a scouting report on Dawson Bryant? Is this an easy win for Fairview or a potential trouble spot?

Coal Grove (Dawson Bryant) is very young. They are primarily a running team but will throw on occasion. They were prone to mistakes early on but that has gotten better over the last couple of weeks. Quite a few good athletes and a very physical team. I'm not familiar with Fairview so not sure how these teams match up, but I expect a close game, if CG doesn't let the mistake bug bite them.

Fairview in my eyes really only has one loss. They played horrible against Lawrence Co. and really didn't look good in any aspect in that game. The other loss they have to the team in Cincinnati they were better in every aspect of the game but the referees made sure that they were never going to win that game. I am not normally a blame the refs kind of person but you can look up the numbers and see for yourself. Worst called game that I have ever seen. The coach from LCA was quoted in the local paper as saying Fairview was the most explosive offense they have seen. I have said it before and I stick by it. Roy is the best QB by far in the area regardless of size of school. If he has time to throw he has plenty of weapons and it's a long night for the opposing defense. Fairview defensively is not the best around by any stretch but they are not horrible either.

Its hard to win across the pond and Fairview knows this first hand. Airviews goal should be a two TD lead early. If this happens CG will do what they always do, start slinging the ball around prematurely and try to force things. If this happens its a blow out for Fairview. If CG keeps their composure and keep the eagles offense off the field its anyones ball game. This will be a surefire test on Fairviews physicality and discipline upfront. With that said...

If CG gets down in the score early they will not start throwing like they did in the past. This is a new staff and they have stuck to their game plan all year, regardless of the score. Fairview needs to be prepared for a physical, ball control ground game. Should be a fun game!

From what I've seen the past 3 or 4 years, you're down 2 touchdowns when the bus crosses the bridge 90% of the time when traveling to Ohio to play, definitely not going to get the benefit of the doubt on any calls plus not all, but most Ohio teams play very physical, not to mention taking their fair share of cheap shots during and after the play. Definitely a different game when a Ky team crosses the river. Fairview should win by 3 TD'S but most of the time it's 11 on 16 when you're over there. Main thing is to make it out without any injuries and I hope that none occur.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I hope Fairview gives them a thumping.

Then I'll have to turn my wish around and hope that the Eagles take one 2 weeks from now.

Fairview should win this game but they better enjoy this one because raceland and paintsville be tough ones. The fans better enjoy Alex and Antwan because after that it gets very bad. I've seen the lower levels and it's not in good shape. Normally that's bad news for a HS program we shall see. Good luck to both teams
