What teams will be in the final four in in 1A in 06?

LCA might have a really diff. time making it to the final 4 in class A, but anything is poss. with alot of hard work and discipline. They return no skilled starters on offense and most if not all of those players played both ways and special teams. They do have young talent on campus, but it depends on how they develop.

The biggest bright spot for LCA is that they lost only 1 lineman. A great player, to be sure, but only 1 of 5 horses, and he didn't always play both ways.

Another thread asked the question: "would you rather have a great RB & and average line, or a great line and an average back." The consensus seemed to be the latter.

If that is true, LCA MAY have a better season than expected.

They may, but their young. Not saying they can't get to the final 4, but with alot of first year starters and running the wing-t, it could be extremely difficult. The wing-t restricted the amount of speed and talent they had last year greatly. From what i've seen, and the second teamers may get to the talent level of those guys with hard work during the offseason, but wasn't even close in the speed, size, and talent category at the end of last season. The first task will be replacing those guys in a district that was in a bit of a rebuilding mode last year. Besides, the line was average, not great, and the talented kids did alot for how they looked. To get to the final 4, the line has to create running lanes, and pass block. Now from what I seen, even in district, they didn't do that good of a job (in my opinion) of either. You know that alot of times, great backs and other skilled players make o-lines seem alot better than they actually are.

Pikeville,NCC,Danville,Mayfield

:thumb: That four sounds just right.

Mike Jackson will lead Pikeville to a Statechampionship this year. They will beat Danville.:jump:
