Bishop Brossart 2 Campbell County 0

Featured Replies

Final

1st Half - 22:33 Cody Chism From Sam Parnell

1st Half - 00:20 Nate Miller unassisted

BB 3-1-2 and 2-0 in District Play

CCo 1-5 and 0-2 in District Play

Fifty Minute Weather delay at start of game.

Brossart Freshmen win 4-3

Campbell Co JVs prevail 1-0 in weather delay shortened match

First goal came 20 seconds into the game? Sounds like the CC staff did not have their team ready to go. Did CC run sprints before the game, during the weather delay or do they only run sprints after games?

Mustang is admittedly a below-level rookie when it comes to the ins and outs of futbol. :) He makes no bones about his lack of knowledge of the game, but everyone GREATLY appreciates his efforts to extol the efforts of the students and promote BBHS. We LOVE having him at the pitch!

To explain your question, the stadium clock ran down from 40:00, so in essence, the first goal was a 19th minute goal, and the one you reference, was a 40th minute goal, 00:20 before half. The Miller goal was assisted by a beautiful through-ball by Rolf .. an outstanding service.

I'll accept the top bolded as a supreme compliment.

It's obviously more like I don't have my first clue. Let me guess - you count backwards in soccer. Why not??? :banghead:

I simply wrote down what was showing on the stadium clock, or guessed at in the case of the goal just prior to half.

Sorry to hear that I shortchanged my buddy Justin Rolf! The Miller goal happened so quickly that I wasn't able to reconstruct the set up in my feeble soccer mind.

I appreciate the fact that Greg Braun and Brian Goller jumped in to make some soccer-sense of the broadcast. I've tried my hand at play-by-play soccer, and to be honest they normally evolved into a fireside chat while the soccer game was going on.

Perhaps in my next life I will develop an affinity for the sport, but until then ...................

Mustang .. PLEASE keep on doing what you do!!! As mentioned, it is greatly appreciated!

Futbol is an acquired taste. Keep surrounding yourself with great minds like Braun and Goller, and you'll be up and running in no time. Taking baby steps at first is fine!

@Mustang if you need an expert you can always call on your hoops wing man. I'd be more than happy to broadcast my wealth of knowledge and love of the game over the air.
