Missing Mike Fields this time of year

What are some of the things you'd all like to see, especially in a weekly notebook?

As gchs said...Field's did a great job at capturing stat lines and accomplishments from all over the state.. definitely keep that tradition going.

What I would like to see from time to time, and this is just my personal taste:

1. Bring some history and tradition to the forefront. When two historic rivals play give some details on the all-time series or interesting tidbits/traditions or old stories from days gone by.

2. Don't be afraid to play in the world of non-sequitor. Some of the hottest threads we have had on here have been about Uniforms, Stadiums, Old Pictures, and hypothetical rankings. One series of threads I wanted to do but simply never invested the time is to rank the greatest individual teams in Kentucky History. Might be an excellent online column.

3.Spotlight kids who deserve ink but geographically are isolated. Doesn't have to be just the QB and RB either... tell the world about the dominant D-Linemen or the LB at the 1A School who has put up video game stats. Get a brief interview and maybe link his Hudl video. That one article could be the difference in a kid becoming an All-Stater or getting a small college to notice him.

(From a business standpoint this is good pub for the LHL as well..lots of rural people think the LHL only cares about the "Golden Triangle"... this will show the LHL is devoted to covering football across the state)
