InItToWinIt
@Science Friction thinks so. Here is an excerpt from Post #1 in " http://bluegrasspreps.com/religion-ethics-philosophy/americans-becoming-less-304801.html " : I believe that agnostics and atheists will outnumber Christians in America during most of our lifetimes. I see that as a positive. Edited June 2, 2015 by InItToWinIt
InItToWinIt
I am flabbergasted as to why that would be a good thing. The Catholic Church, for example, has done the following things (just to name a few): -Treat more AIDS victims than any other organization in the world -Created the education/university system that we have today -Created over 500 non-profit hospitals in the US alone -Created the orphanage concept and platform that we use today -Helped in development of the Big Bang Theory in addition to being open to evolution -Developed the scientific method -Include and support people of all races, classes, and genders around the globe -Is the largest charitable organization in the history of the world -Defends the dignity of human life from conception to natural death I am sure that Science Friction is not alone in this belief. To the people that agree, what is it about an organization that does and has done the things mentioned above would be a good thing for society if there were less people supporting it. PP1
I do not believe that there will be more atheists than believers in this country. Also, Agnostics and Atheists are not the same thing. I guess it is possible that combining these two groups you ma have a greater number than a specific denomination, but not the entire Christian population.
